Rail shoulders are semi-embedded pieces cast into concrete sleepers that secure the elastic rail clips to the base plate.
Kingrail Parts can provide two common types of rail shoulders, cast-in rail shoulders and Weld-on rail shoulders.
* Cast-in Rail Shoulder
As an embedded part of the railway fastening system, the cast shoulder is pressed into the concrete sleepers and cooperates with the E-type fasteners to fasten the rails. Our cast shoulders are made of cast iron such as GB/T 1348-1988, NF EN 1563(1997), ISO1038, DIN 1693, JIS G5502(2001), KS D 4302, GOST 7293(1985) or BS EN 1563(1997 ).

* Weld-on Rail Shoulder
Weld-on shoulders are used in a typical location for rails where the rail shoulders are welded to a flat steel plate rather than a standard tie plate. Our weld-on shoulders are made of low carbon steel or medium carbon steel through hot forging and manufactured in accordance with AREA standards.
