In railway track fastening systems, height adjustment is mainly achieved by changing the thickness of the pad under the rail or inserting a height adjustment pad under the rail or tie plate. Rail height adjustment pad is an important application in ballastless track fasteners.
Kingrail Parts' height adjustment pads (or height adjustment plates) are made of rubber, HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and other plastics, steel and other materials. Our height adjustment pads are available in thicknesses from 1mm to 20mm, depending on the exact location where they are embedded and the materials used. Our common adjusting plate thicknesses are 1mm, 2mm, 5mm, 8mm, 12mm, etc.

Rail Height Adjustment Pad for Vossloh300-1 Rail Fastener
The rail height adjustment pad of the Vossloh300-1 rail fastener can be made of plastic or steel. Plastic pads are available in 6mm and 10mm thicknesses and are marked Ap20-6 and Ap20-10. The steel adjustment plate is 20mm thick and carries the Ap20S mark.
According to the design requirements, the height adjustment range is -4mm to +56mm. Achieved by embedding AP20-6, Ap20-10Z plastic height adjustment pad, W692 tie plate, and Ap20S steel height adjustment pad.
