Rail clamp, also known as railway clamp or rail fixing clamp, is a device used to maintain the horizontal position of the rail, especially the crane rail, but allow the necessary longitudinal movement.
In the rail fastening system, the rail clamp is mechanically locked to fix the rail in place, and at the same time, the longitudinal movement of the rail is accepted by the combined vulcanized and bonded synthetic elastomer nose.
Usually, rail clamps are always fixed on the sleepers with rail anchor bolts. In terms of types, the main types are bolted rail clamps and welded rail clamps.
