Rail spikes, also known as railway spikes. Railway spikes are designed to maintain the gauge between running rails while also securing the rails to the sleepers. Kingrail Parts can provide rail spikes in various shapes and with different functions. The materials for the production of our railway spikes can be carbon steel or stainless steel as needed. Among the various types of rail spikes, dog spikes and spiral spikes are our most popular ones.

Dog spikes
Dog spikes, used to secure T-shaped railroad tracks to wooden ties, have an L-shaped head and a square shank, with the underside of the head angled to fit over the top surface of the rail base. Kingrail Parts offers a variety of track spike sizes to meet different spike penetration length requirements. For smaller rail sections, we can offer 5/8”*6” and 9/16”*5-1/2” track spikes, which are typically secured in 200 lb. buckets or 50 lb. buckets.

Screw spike
Railway screw spikes are commonly used to fasten railroad ties or sleepers and can also be used with plastic ferrules cast into concrete sleepers/ties. Depending on specific geographical requirements, Kingrail Parts can supply railway spikes in a wide variety of thread profiles, lengths, diameters and drive heads.
