Rail tie plate, also known as rail baseplate or rail sole plate, is an important part of crane rail or railway rail support system and fastening system.

1. Single Shoulder Tie Plates
For the tie plates of single shoulder, the shoulder is designed at the field end of the plate. The plate’s short end or gauge end is placed inside of the rail track, and that why the rail base width is always required from clients. Single shoulder tie plates are usually used by rails weights running from 56lb though 100 lb.
2. Double Shoulder Tie Plates
Shoulder tie plates are divided into: 2 holes, 4 holes, 5 holes, 6 holes or 8 holes. Double-shoulder base plates are usually used for rails greater than 100 pounds.
3. Casting Rail Tie Plate
Casting production is the most commonly used method for the production of railway connecting plates. The process is simple and the price is not high.
Type: Suitable for rail UIC54, UIC60, 50kg rail, 60kg rail, S49 and size (according to customer requirements)
Material: QT500-7 or QT450-10 (forged low-carbon steel or high-carbon steel, and rolled low-carbon steel S275JR, Q235, etc.)
Standard: UIC864-6, etc
4. Base Plates for KPO Fastening Systems
Rail base plate is a key part of KPO fastening system. It is used to support the guide rail and fix the entire fastening system. The rail base plate is fixed on the rail by rail bolts and rail spikes.
5. AREMA Standard Tie Plate
Mainly used in the US market, common sizes include 11 inches, 14 inches and 14-3 / 4 inch tie plates. They are usually used for 5-1/2 inch and 6 inch wide rail base plates.
6. AREMA Hook Twin Tie Plate
HTTP, the full name is the hook-shaped double connection board. This tie plates is widely used for turnouts located behind the bottom of the switch. In order to ensure the tie spacing, HTTP is usually used in pairs in a single tie plate.
Different varieties available:
Suitable for 3/4" hook twin tie plate: L23, L27, L31, LR23, LR27, LR31, H23, H27, H31.
For 1-inch hook twin tie plate: L29, L33, L37, LR28, LR32, LR36, H29, H33, H37, H41.
In the market, 3/4" and 1" thick hook twin tie plates are the most popular in North America.
