Railway Dog Spikes Definition:
Railway dog spikes are spikes with square or round tops and square wedge spikes at the bottom. They are commonly used in wooden railway fastening systems.
The railway dog spike has an L-shaped head and a square handle. The bottom of its head slopes to match the slope of the rail flange. Its tip is wedge-shaped, not pointed. The wedge penetrates the texture into the lace, that is, parallel to the rail.
