Railroad track anchors or rail anti-climbing devices are spring steel clips connected to the underside of the sleeper plate and leaning against the side of the sleeper. The function of the rail anchor is to prevent longitudinal movement of the rail due to temperature changes or vibration.
How do rail anchors work?
The rail anchor bolt adopts a one-piece structure design. It provides a large bearing surface for the sleeper to prevent cutting and abrasion, thereby prolonging the service life of the sleeper.
Rail anchors are manufactured for specific rail weights and base widths, and can be divided into two types: driven rail anchors and spring-loaded rail anchors.
Types of Railroad Track Anchors:
1. Rail anchors are commonly used for rails such as 50kg, 85kg, UIC54, UIC60, 90/91lb, 115RE, 136RE, to name a few. We can produce T-shaped or V-shaped rail anchors and other types through forging or casting according to customer requirements.

2. Generally speaking, according to our previous production experience, the most commonly used material for the production of rail anchors is 60Si2MnA, which is commonly used for rails such as 50kg, 70lb, 80lb, and 90/91lb.
