Railway Fang Bolt Definition:
Railway fang bolt is also called railway anchor bolts. They are usually inserted into the holes of railway sleepers for fixing. The height of the fang bolt can be adjusted to suit different fixed heights.
Place (tighten) the fang bolt through the hole of the sleeper or tie plates, and then insert the fanged washer into the bolt under the sleeper or tie plates. The advantage is that only a small amount of ballast can be removed to put the fanged washer in place.
Railway Fang Bolt Application:
The railway fang bolt is more reliable than rail screw spikes and rail spikes. Therefore, they are usually used in places where railways are relatively fragile (such as turnout sleepers). They are also used to secure rails during sharp turns. However, because fang bolts are difficult to fix and disassemble, fang bolts have not been widely used.
