Railway insulators, also known as rail nylon insulators, are used to adjust the rail gauge and provide electrical insulation for steel rails from rail clip or rail shoulder and sleepers. They are installed between the rail and rail tie plates. The role of rail nylon insulator is similar to that of rail rubber pads, except that it is located above the rail feet and is thicker than the rail pads. It is a standard fastener for high-speed or high-load trains.
Kingrail Parts produces high-quality rail insulators; the material is PA6 or PA66, containing 30% glass fiber. The color of rail nylon insulator can be white, yellow, green, etc. Our rail insulator is manufactured for various rail cross-section types and used with our elastic rail clips. We can provide rail nylon insulators for UIC60 rails, 115RE rails, 75lb rails, BS80A rails, BS90A rails, BS100A rails, 52kg rails, etc.
Types of Railway Insulators
1. E type rail insulator
E-type rail insulators are used in the E-type clamp fastener system, and are used in conjunction with E-type clamps, rail shoulders and rail pads;
2. SKL rail insulator
SKL rail insulators, also called guide plates, are used in SKL fastening systems and are used in combination with SKL tension clamps, screws, plastic pins, flat washers and rail pads.
3. Nabla rail insulator
Nabla rail insulators are used in Nabla clip-on rail fastening systems and are used with other fastener components, including Nabla clips, screws, and spring washers.
